Under the direction of a High court enforcement officer, we collected  £1,000 with the remaining balance paid over the next two months. This was the money owed to a client, due to poor quality workmanship. Our client took them to court and won. The debtor never paid, this resulted in CCJ(County court judgment)being awarded. Beacon Enforcement were contacted on Thursday 29th October 2020 by attorneys based in Northern California about serving Divorce papers on a person in the Plymouth area.

We liaised with the firm about exactly what they required for California State Law, as from previous experience with various other states, its better to clarify exactly what they require. This was done via whatsapp, so no expensive phone calls.

The next morning (Friday 30th) the documents were served on the person, all reports and statement of service under California state law were set via email, and originals sent via Royal Mail.

Collecting Commercial Rent


Pleased to have secured for a client who had a commercial tenant that owed well over 195 days rent, a full payment.

The tenant had been trading throughout the current crises and had ignored our client’s reasonable demands for payment.

We sent the tenant a Notice of Enforcement(NOE) giving them 7 days to pay(under Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery).

The commercial tenant paid 4 days after receiving NOE and it was cost-free to the landlord.

If for example, the tenant was unable to pay in full, we could have removed goods, or more likely to have entered into a controlled goods agreement securing payments against assets or stock at the premises. This in effect would protect the landlord’s financial position with regard to the assets and goods against other creditors

INDUSTRIAL UNIT IN WEST CORNWALL

A commercial landlord contacted us with a tenant in their Industrial Unit, owing rent totaling £5,600.00. We started the process by serving them with an Enforcement letter giving them 7 Days to pay. This was ignored by the tenant and we arrived and entered the unit, listed goods.

The tenant paid  £2,500 the day we arrived, and 1 week later paid the remaining balance off. The client gained in two ways, the tenant paid the outstanding rent and the tenant paid our fees! So, in a nutshell, it cost the landlord nothing!
